Dear Friends!

The years our region existence as an independent administrative union in the general structure of the state were full of different spectacular events. Remembering of all the dramatic periods of the Kola Zapolyarye History the main thing for the last years had been being as I would call it Creation. The hard labour of Northerners, their tenacity, fortitude, patience and endless love for these severe but wonderful places are the part of the meaning of this word.

I hope that materials prepared for our annual disk of the Murmansk region 2004 will be useful for everybody who is interested in history, culture and economy of our region.
